We Are the Champions

I made up that song "We Are the Champions." I played it for Freddie Mercury at a party. He said it was okay, but the next thing I know, Queen made a big hit out of it and I never got any credit.

I read in Time magazine the other day that they are going to change the United States national anthem to "We Are The Champions" because we keep going to war and winning every time. And they said that besides that, "America" is too hard to sing, and they are tired of people messing it up when they sing it at ball games. They also said that they want a song for our national anthem that everybody knows, and one that is already often heard at sporting events. And I guess that no one will ever know that you are the one that wrote it. This is doubly bad for you, because they are going to pay Queen $5,000,000,000 for the rights to the song.

Feh, I don't care about the money. I'm just happy not to have to sing "America" at ball games anymore.
