Cheese Recycling
Eight million cubic tons of leftover cheese are disposed of in landfills per year in the continental United States alone. Thankfully, many cities and counties are responding to this waste by instituting cheese recycling programs.
I'm doing my part. I order recycled grilled cheese sandwiches wherever they are available.

I wasn't aware of this until recently. I was visiting my cousin in another state, and we went out to eat. I ordered an omelette, and they asked if I wanted recycled cheese. I guess in the state where my cousin lives, there's a law on the books that says they have to let you know when the cheese is recycled. Most states, like mine, don't have such requirements, so I don't even know when I'm getting recycled or fresh cheese.
You can usually tell because the cheese has a little orange arrows going around in a circle.
I think I'm going to be sick. Cheese sick!
